To provide a bar body cutting machine improving heat efficiency of a cooling fan by inversely rotating an output shaft by a decelerator even though a motor is always normally rotated, and also improving heat resistance of the motor during continuous work.
The bar body cutting machine 1 has the motor 3, the decelerator 5 for decelerating the rotation of the motor 3, and a cutting blade drive mechanism 17 which rotates a movable blade 31 to the fixed blade 29 side by the transmission of rotational drive force from the decelerator 5 via the output shaft 33. The bar body is cut on shearing action by the fixed blade 29 and the movable blade 31. The decelerator 5 has a planetary gear mechanism (a deceleration mechanism B) capable of changing the rotation of the output shaft 33 in the normal rotation direction or the inverse rotation direction.
