Title:
BAR CODE DECODER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2778870
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To remarkably reduce erroneous reading to recognize a code of double segments as the one of single segment.
CONSTITUTION: The AND output of a signal in which an input margin detection signal IMG from an input margin detecting part 22 is delayed by six characters at a delay circuit 27 and an output center bar detection signal OCB from a center bar detecting part 23 is inputted to an AND gate 33 via a delay circuit 34. The AND of the AND output and an output margin detection signal OMG from an output margin detecting part 25 is taken at the AND gate 33, and it is inputted to a decode control part 35 as a signal EFOR. The decode control part 35 judges that no output guard bar and margin that should exist in a UPC-E code are detected when the signal EFOR is set at a level other than a high level even when the number of characters or the parity of data is effective as the UPC-E code, and nullifies the data.
