Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which allows an operator to omit a data input operation even when data shown by a bar code cannot be decoded (for example, when a bar code is not properly printed).SOLUTION: A bar code reader 2 includes an operation part 18 which allows input of data, a light reception part 14 for receiving reflection light from a bar code, a memory 16 for storing collation data corresponding to a specific bar code input from the operation part 18 and a controller 10. When the collation data is stored in the memory 16 and data corresponding to a bar code cannot be decoded from reflection light received by the light reception part 14, the controller 10 performs processing, recognizing that the same data as the collation data has been decoded from the reflection light received by the light reception part 14 under a prescribed condition.
