PURPOSE: To confirm the code of a bar code by means of a voice only with the use of a bar code reader by making built-in a means to convert the converted code output of the bar code into the voice and broadcast it.

CONSTITUTION: The output of the bar code reader 11 is applied to a code converting part 12. A voice converting part 14 inputs the output code of the code converting part 12, converts it in to the voice code, and outputs it to a voice synthesizing part 15. The voice synthesizing part 15 inputs the voice code, forms the sinthesized voice, and outputs it to a voice output part 16. The voice output part 16 outputs the synthesized voice by means of the electric signal of the voice synthesizing part 15 through a receiver such as a speaker and a earphone to a space by means of the broadcast.
