Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the bar-code reader which is small-sized, and also, inexpen sive, and can be applied easily to various purposes.
CONSTITUTION: The bar-code reader is constituted so that it is separated into a reading unit 1 for reading a bar-code by scanning it optically, and an output unit 2 for outputting data of a result of read to the outside, and these two units 1, 2 can be attached, detached and changed mutually. As for the output unit 2, plural kinds are prepared in accordance with an apparatus to be connected, and by selecting an optimal one of them and installing it in the reading unit 1, a bar-code reader system is constructed, by which a useless interface circuit is not required.
