Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract a bar code area and to recognize a bar code even if documents where a plurality of bar codes of plural specifications are printed in different positions or different directions or the bar codes of the specifications different for the respective documents are printed in the different positions or directions.
SOLUTION: A bar code recognition system has a bar code area extraction means 12 discriminating the image of a bar code by the distribution of two-dimensional pixels and extracting a bar code area, a bar code degree decision means 13 recognizing that the image in the bar code area in the bar code by the distribution of the two-dimensional pixel and estimating the specification of the bar code, a bar code recognition means 14 executing recognition by the plural bar code specifications, and a recognized result decision means 15 narrowing the bar code specification, based on a recognition result by the plural bar code specifications.
