When the bar material 54 is cut by the bar material cutting device 10, an abutting material 92 allowed to abut on the bar material 54 to fix a relative position of a chip saw 14 to a disc type rotary cutting tool and the bar material 54 is provided so that the abutting member 92 may be relatively movable for the chip saw 14 and a fixed position may be changed. The relative position of the abutting member 92 and the chip saw 14, therefore, is properly changed and fixed according to the diameter dimension of the bar material 54 to suitably fix the relative position of the bar material 54 allowed to abut on the abutting member 92 and the chip saw 14 and to cut the bar material 54 without generating any failures. Namely, the bar material cutting device 10 suitably cutting even the bar material 54 having the comparatively small diameter is provided.
