To provide a bar receiving metal fitting capable of securing a bar and locking by single operation and unlocking by turning a U-shaped locking piece.
A slit comprising a part of a body 1 cut upward from a lower section is formed in the front section of the body 1 on which a bar receiving section 2 whose upper section is opened is provided. A U-shaped locking piece 4 is inserted into the slit, and the intermediate section of an arm 4a on the lower side of the slit is pivotally attached to the lower section of the bar receiving section 2 by means of a set screw 6. The shaft hole of the U-shaped locking piece 4 is formed into a vertical long hole, and the upper edge 10 of the upper arm 4a of the U-shaped locking piece 4 is formed into an arc shape so that when the bar is inserted, force is generated in the direction to make the aperture of the U-shaped locking piece 4 face upward. A notch 8 engaged with the upper end of the slit when raised together with the U-shaped locking piece 4 is provided on the upper arm 4a of the U-shaped locking piece 4.
