To improve operational efficiency by automatically transshipping a bar-shaped body from a box body to a pallet.

After conveying respective bar-shaped bodies aligned uprightly in a carton are conveyed to a fetching position by a feeding conveyor and fetching respective bar shape bodies from the carton by each row at the fetching position by a fetching mechanism 14, pitches between bar-shaped bodies is adjusted so that it may become the pitches between the respective bar-shaped body storing units of a pallet by a pitch adjusting mechanism 42 and the respective bar-shaped bodies are loaded on the pallet by a loading mechanism 54 and discharged by a discharge conveyor 52. Thus respective bar shape bodies can be automatically transshipped even in case pitch between the respective bar-shaped bodies inside the carton and that between respective bar-shaped body storing units of the pallet are different. Furthermore it is sanitary because the bar-shaped bodies do not come into contact with anybody's hand.
