PURPOSE: To permit the bulk material in a barge to be unloaded continuously irrespective or rolling of the barge by incorporating a counterweight into the barge unloader installed on the quay wall side and lightly pressing the barge.

CONSTITUTION: The intermediate part of a balance frame 3 is pivotally installed onto the supporting shaft 4 of the frame 2 of the barge unloader which travels on the quay 1, and the girder 7 which supports the bucket wheel 31 for scooping-in is pivotally installed at one edge of the balance frame 3, and the supporting frame 5 which supports a counterweight 6 is pivotally installed at the other edge. Most of the dead load of the girder part 7 is balanced with the weight 6 through the frames 3 and 3 and links 19 and 20, and when a winch 10 is released, each leg part 25, 26 is pressed to the rails 23 and 24 of the barge 22 under the min. pressure required.
