Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel which is low in cost, and improved in muddy water performance without using a new component.SOLUTION: A bearing device for a wheel comprises: an outer ring 12; an inner shaft 82; a plurality of rolling bodies 86; and a sealing device 16 for sealing an annular space existing between the outer ring 12 and the inner shaft 82. A disc-plate shaped flange 83 is integrally formed at the inner shaft 82. The outer ring 12 comprises an end face 55 which is integrally formed at the outer ring 12, and opposes the flange 83 in an axial direction with an interval with the flange. The end face 55 is protruded toward the flange at a vertical upper end side rather than a vertical lower end side in a state of being mounted to a vehicle, and a clearance in the axial direction between an end face at the vertical upper end side and the flange is smaller than a clearance in the axial direction between an end face at the vertical lower end side and the flange.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
