PURPOSE: To prevent a barrier from projecting from the front surface region of a camera main body while the barrier is opened/closed.

CONSTITUTION: A moving mechanism for the barrier 2 capable of being slid in the direction perpendicular to a photographing optical axis on the front part of the camera main body 1 and being moved to position where the barrier 2 covers a photographic lens and the retreated position is provided with a supporting member 3 whose one end is pivotally supported to be rotatable by the camera main body 1 and other end is pivotally supported to be rotatable by the barrier 2 and a barrier rotating means for relatively rotating the barrier 2 against the supporting member 3 by linking with its rotation against the camera main body 1.
