Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a base cloth for an air-bag effective in reducing the size of an air-bag apparatus and contributing in the reduction of the weight of the apparatus.
CONSTITUTION: The base cloth 1 is woven by aligning a pair of warps 2, 2 and a pair of wefts 3, 3 in longitudinal and lateral directions and weaving the yarns by Oxford weaving. High-tenacity yarn of 210 denier is used as the weft 2 and warp 3. The high-tenacity yarn is preferably stock yarn made of nylon 6 and having a strength of ≥10g/d. The woven fabric is coated with a resin and sewn in the form of an air-bag.
