Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a base coat composition layer when a primer layer is wet and to provide a method in which the base coat composition layer contains a base coat composition.SOLUTION: There is provided a base coat composition containing a) at least one kind of film formable polymer selected from acryl polyol, polyester polyol and alkyd, b) at least one kind of rheology modifier, c) at least one kind of solvent, d) at least one kind of pigment, e) optionally at least one kind of microgel, f) optionally at least one kind of crosslinking agent and g) cellulose mixed ester having properties which are total substitution degree per at least one kind of anhydrous glucose unit of 3.08 to 3.50, substitution degree of hydroxyl of 0.70 or less, substitution degree of butyryl of 0.80 to 1.40, substitution degree of acetyl of 1.20 to 2.34, a number average molecular weight of 1,000 to 5,600, a weight average molecular weight of 1,500 to 10,000 and polydispersity of 1.2 to 3.5.
