Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base for an electrophotographic planographic printing plate which is obtained by forming an electrically conductive middle layer on a sheetlike substrate, which makes the electrically conductive middle layer less liable to scratch when the surface of the base is coated with a photosensitive layer and which gives a printing plate having satisfactory performances such as image properties and printing resistance.
SOLUTION: In a base for an electrophotographic planographic printing plate obtained by forming an electrically conductive middle layer on a sheetlike substrate by coating with a coating material containing an electrically conductive agent and a binder resin, a lubricant is incorporated into the electrically conductive middle layer. Polyethylene particles are preferably used as the lubricant.
