Abstract:
To provide a base-isolated building 1 capable of preventing water immersion into a base-isolating mechanism 22 even if a water immersion depth exceeds the height of the base-isolating mechanism 22, and easy in construction with a simple structure.SOLUTION: A base-isolated building 1 is provided with a plurality of lower water cut-off walls 24 extending upward from a foundation structure 20, and a plurality of upper water cut-off walls 16 extending downward from an upper structure 10. Each of the lower water cut-off walls 24 surrounds one base-isolating mechanism 22 in plan view and has an upper end edge 240 spaced relative to the upper structure 10. Each of the upper water cut-off walls 16 surrounds one lower water cut-off wall 24 in plan view and has a lower end edge 160 at a position lower than the upper end edge 240. The upper structure 10 is configured to keep airtight a region inside the upper water cut-off walls 16 and higher than the upper end edge 240.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
