Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismic isolator which has satisfactory base isolation performance upon earthquake and can mount a loading object stably upon normal time.SOLUTION: A seismic isolator 10 includes a base plate member 11, a loading plate member 12 which is arranged on the base plate member 11 and mounts a loading object thereon, a sliding member or a rolling member 14 which is provided between the base plate member 11 and the loading plate member 12 and can be relatively moved and a plurality of elastic members 13 which are connected between the base plate member 11 and the loading plate member 12, absorb earthquake motion and restore the loading object to a position before earthquake. Therein, a magnetic force motion regulation means 20 which regulates a relative motion of a normal time by a magnetic force and permits the relative motion with respect to the earthquake motion is provided between the base plate member 11 and the loading plate member 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
