Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a work of art displayed indoors and a display case to house the work of art from an earthquake disaster.
SOLUTION: In a base isolation stand on/to which a display case A is placed and fixed, plural base isolation mechanisms 4 composed of a small diameter roller 43 and an eccentric large diameter roller 42 are interposed between a lower underframe 1 fixed to a floor surface and an intermediate underframe 2 and between the intermediate underframe 2 and an upper underframe 3 on which the display case A is placed, and the intermediate underframe 2 and the upper underframe 3 are constituted so as to freely swing in the longitudinal direction and the lateral direction to the lower underframe 1. In a normal condition, the vertically opposed underframes are connected and fixed to each other by a motor-driven trigger mechanism 5, and a seismic movement sensor is actuated when an earthquake occurs, and connection and fixation between the upper and lower undeframes by the motor-driven trigger mechanism 5 is released.
