Abstract:

To provide a base-isolation structure capable of suppressing the relative displacement of upper and lower structures.

A frictional material 26 higher in coefficient of friction than a sliding plate 34 is provided at the peripheral edge of a sliding surface 24. Thus, even when a support portion 22 goes over an upward slope portion 24B, the relative displacement of the upper and lower structures 16 and 14 is suppressed by the frictional material 26. This can prevent the collision of the upper structure 16 with a member provided on its periphery.
