To provide a base isolation house which is durable against external force caused by an earthquake, a typhoon and traffic vibration and exerted to the house, without the necessity of a special process so as to provide an inexpensive base isolation effect to a detached house as an upper structure.

Support members 3a, 3b formed of metal plates such as steel plates or the like are attached to the upper surface 1a of a continuous concrete foundation 1 and a lower surface 2a of a bedsill beam 2 formed above the foundation 1 along the longitudinal direction, respectively, by means of fastening members 4 such as bolts and nuts. A laminated rubber bearing 7 composed of elstomer sheets 5 and intermediate steel plates 6 which are laminated with one another, is interposed between the support members 3a, 3b, and a plurality of fastening members couple the concrete foundation 1 and the bedsill beam 2 together through the intermediary of the support members 3a, 3b and the laminated rubber bearing 7 so that they are horizontally displaceable. The support member 3a on the concrete foundation 1 side is coupled to the support member 3b on the bedsill beam 2 side through the intermediary of a damper 9.
