Abstract:
To provide a base material for filter which can realize an air filter or a mask having low pressure loss and excellent air permeability and collection efficiency in which the collection efficiency is prevented from being unintentionally reduced, as well as, filtered gas is prevented from being unintentionally polluted.SOLUTION: A base material for filter contains frictionally charged fibers which satisfy both of the following two items which are evaluated by a measuring method concerning the present invention: "(i) a lighter weight of a fallen fiber weight (A) and a fallen fiber weight (B) is less than 5.8 g/m2; and (ii) the sum of the fallen fiber weight (A) and the fallen fiber weight (B) is less than 18.4 g/m2".SELECTED DRAWING: None
