Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a base material made of a corrugated board with improved strength and stretching and contraction during forming by preparing it of a papery corrugated internal core sheet and liner papers bonded on both faces of the internal core paper each through a synthetic resin film and constituting the liner paper of a polyester fiber and a wood pulp.
CONSTITUTION: A corrugated board base material 1 is formed by laminating a papery corrugated internal core 2 and a pair of surface and back face liner papers 3 and 4 on both faces of the internal core 2 through thermally meltable synthetic resin films 5. The liner papers 3 and 4 are constituted of 50-80% polyester fiber and 20-80% wood pulp. If the ratio of the polyester fiber in the liner paper is less than 50%, the effect of incorporating is not remarkable in comparing it with a liner paper made of a pulp in its physical properties such as strengths and if it exceeds 80%, the strength of the liner paper decreases. In addition, when a polyester fiber is mixed into the internal core 2, as decrease in the elastic modulus becomes remarkable in comparison with an internal core made of a pulp and an enough strength is not obtd., the polyester fiber is not used for the internal core 2.
