The invention discloses the base material for supporting an aromatic deodorization component and the aromatic deodorization material using it. The aromatic deodorization material is formed by supporting the aromatic deodorization component on the base material containing cellulosic particles and a resin component. The cellulosic particles used in the invention are, for example, pulverized wood powder so that they breathe according to the external environment. This breathing affects the sustained releasing performance of the aromatic deodorization component, so that the aromatic deodorization material of the invention stably exhibits aromatic nature and deodorization performance suitable for the user over a long period of time.
