Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it hard for remaining of air bubbles which form a blow hole when arc-welding is performed in a lateral attitude or an upward attitude.SOLUTION: A welding method includes: a bevel formation process in which grooves 41, 42 are formed between upper end surfaces 21a, 22a of a connection shape material 15 and lower end surfaces 31a, 32a of a side body structure 12 so that arc-welding can be performed in a lateral attitude; and a welding process in which the grooves 41, 42 are charged with molten metal, and the connection shape material 15 and the side body structure 12 are welded by arc-welding. In the bevel formation process, spaces S1, S2 for communicating the grooves 41, 42 with ambient air from the bottom side thereof are formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
