Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide base paper for containers excellent in printability, formability of a thermoplastic resin layer, adhesion and suppression of cracking in production and processing and occurrence of paper powder and its production method.SOLUTION: Base paper for containers using a paper substrate has a pigment coating layer which contains a pigment and a water-soluble binder, on the side of the paper substrate to serve as an outside surface of a paper, and the pigment contains light calcium carbonate. The base paper for containers has polyethyleneimine on the side of the base substrate to serve as an inside surface of the container. The content of the water-soluble binder is preferably 2-12 pts.mass to 100 pts.mass of the pigment.
