PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base radio unit that efficiently seeks a frequency used to transmit a position registration request and to provide a mobile radio unit.
SOLUTION: A mobile radio unit C is provided with a memory 14 that stores a transmission reception frequency used just before and an outgoing frequency used by a peripheral base station radio unit, a FROM 17 that stores a plurality of frequencies whose transmission reception is allowed by the mobile radio unit C, and a discrimination section 18 that discriminates whether or not a frequency going to be used by the mobile radio unit C for its transmission reception is available by comparing te frequencies stored in the memory 14 with the frequencies stored in the FROM 17. The radio unit C uses and selects sequentially the reception frequency used just before, the outgoing frequency used by the peripheral base radio unit, and the permitted reception frequency, receives an incoming frequency informed from the base radio unit and transmits a position registration request only when the incoming frequency is the frequency whose use is permitted.
