Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contribute to power saving of user equipment.SOLUTION: A communication system 1 includes: a 3G base station 31 that measures a first non-data time, which is a time having no user data transmitted/received between the 3G base station 31 and UE 10, and transfers the measured first non-data time to a LTE base station 41 at the time of the UE 10 performing handover from the 3G base station to the LTE base station 41; and the LTE base station 41 that, at the time of the UE 10 performing handover from the 3G base station 31 to the LTE base station, takes over the first non-data time measured by the 3G base station 31, and measures a second non-data time, which is a time having no user data transmitted/received between the LTE base station 41 and UE 10. The LTE base station 41 makes the UE 10 shift into a power saving mode on the basis of the sum of the first non-data time and the second non-data time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
