To provide a base tire vulcanizing apparatus which dissipates a uniform amount of heat during vulcanization without changing a vulcanizing process in the apparatus depending on a change in ambient temperature.

The base tire vulcanizing apparatus vulcanizes an unvulcanized base tire. The apparatus includes: a metallic mold surrounding side parts and crown part of the base tire; a heating means located at the outside in the width direction of the metallic mold and heating the metallic mold; and a temperature adjusting means provided at a position surrounding the crown part of the base tire in the metallic mold. The temperature adjusting means is located at the outside in the radial direction of the face at which the tread surface of the base tire is molded.
