Title:
BASEBALL OR SOFTBALL GLOVE WITH STIFFNESS OF GLOVE STRUCTURE MEMBER PARTIALLY CHANGED
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001259106
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a baseball or softball glove with its structural member partially changed in stiffness that keeps the flexibility intact, keeps even the ball that the player catches therewith about a glove end (thumb section) less liable to be dropped off and keeps the player less liable to make an error.

This baseball or softball glove with its structural member partially changed in stiffness uses, about a glove thumb section, a high-stiffness material of a Young's modulus of 30 MPa to 300 GPa, such as a built-in polycarbonate core 6. Even when the player catches a ball with the glove about the thumb section, the movement of the ball in the glove is minimized and the ball is kept less liable to be dropped off, so that the player makes fewer errors.
