Title:
ALUMINA/MULLITE-BASED FIRING TOOL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2008081341
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an alumina/mullite-based firing tool which is excellent in bend resistance and thermal shock resistance in high-speed firing and can be desirably used as a tool for firing an electronic component.

The firing tool comprises a fired product obtained by firing a raw material comprising 60-80 wt.% alumina powder and 20-40 wt.% mullite powder of a particle size of 100-600 m at 1,550-1,750C, wherein the raw material has the following particle size composition: 40-60 wt.% particles with sizes of above 45 to 600 m, 20-40 wt.% particles with sizes of above 10 to 45 m, and 20-40 wt.% particles with sizes of 10 m or smaller, and the alumina powder entirely constitutes the particles with sizes of 45 m or smaller in the raw material powder.
