To provide a safe basketball goal capable of being easily and safely moved or handled in the maintenance etc. by a simple structure regardless of the place of using, and permitting easy adjustment of the height position of the goal and easy attachment/detachment of a back board.

A cylindrical support whose outer surface is threaded is disposed rotatable with the center of a circle as the rotation axis in a support bearing mounted on a base, and a moving member is screw-engaged with the support. The back board with a goal ring is supported by the moving member via a support member. The basketball goal has a rotation preventive mechanism for preventing rotation of the moving member, and the height of the back board is adjusted by rotating the support and moving the moving member upward/downward.
