To provide a batch type ceramic heat treatment device suitable for multi-product small lot production of a multilayer ceramic part of high quality or the like by improving both planar and vertical uniformities of temperature and atmosphere in a furnace.

This batch type heat treatment device comprises a closed substantially cylindrical heat treatment space for heat-treating workpieces 9 to be heat-treated in the inner part, and a hearth fitted to a circular opening 14 provided on the bottom of a furnace body and rotated, in which the workpieces placed on the hearth are heat treated with rotation within the heat treatment space. The hearth comprises a disk-like main hearth 4 rotating on an axis 5 passing the center of the circular opening, and a plurality of small disk-like sub-hearths 6 for placing the workpieces, which are rotatably fitted to a plurality of insert holes arranged at equal intervals on a concentric circle on the rotating axis of the main hearth. The sub-hearths revolve on their own axes and rotate with the main hearth, and the workpieces on the sub-hearths are heat-treated while revolving on their own axes and rotating with the main hearth by independent control of upper, middle and lower heater groups 1, 2 and 3.
