To provide a batch type kiln capable of preventing damage to a hearth in which baking objects can be easily put in and taken out of the kiln.
This batch type kiln is equipped with a base plate 42, hearths 60, 62, supports 68, and an placing plate. The hearths 60, 62 are arranged on the base plate 42, and are composed of a fiber heat insulating material having a plurality of hole parts 60a, 62a formed therein penetrating in the vertical direction. Base ends of the supports 68 are fixed to the base plate 42 and are each inserted into the hole parts 60a, 62a of the hearths 60, 62. The tip ends of the supports 68 hold spherical bodies 72a, 72b. A baking sheath in which the baking objects are packed is placed on the placing plate. The baking sheath is supported by the plurality of supports 68 by contacting the tops of the spherical bodies 72a and is transported over the plurality of supports 68.
