Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate dispersion in the quality of products by a method wherein a gas feed pipe is provided at the center and near a side wall to direct atmosphere gas to a space and a blowoff point of the atmosphere gas is changed over to the center and the side wall alternately to bring an item to be baked into uniform contact with the atmosphere gas.
CONSTITUTION: An atmosphere baking furnace includes a furnace body 2 and a rotary hearth 3, and two rotatable feed pipes 5 each having a large number of small holes therein are provided near a furnace side wall 2a and inserted into a furnace chamber 4 to feed atmosphere gas into the chamber 4. And two center feed pipes 6 are provided at the center of the chamber 4 so as to be located on opposite sides of a center exhaust pipe 7 and an exhaust pipe 8 for discharging gas in the furnace chamber is provided near the side wall 2a at a position opposite to the pipe 6. And when the feed of the atmosphere gas is changed over from the pipe 5 to the pipe 6, discharge of gas also changed over from the pipe 7 to the pipe 8 on the outside corresponding to the changeover of the atmosphere gas to reverse the flow of the gas, whereby an item to be baked 10 is brought into uniform contact with the gas.
