PURPOSE: To obtain a bath medicine composition excellent in deodorant effect after bathing.
CONSTITUTION: Herbs having antimicrobial properties or their extracts and an astringent compound are formulated to this composition in amounts of 0.001-100ppm based on the bath water calculated as the extract and 0.1-150ppm based on the bath water, respectively. The antimicrobial herb means plants showing antimicrobial activity against bacteria, fungi and the like and are selected from the group of Artemisiae Capillaris Herba, Magnoliae Cortex, Lithospermi Radix, Houttuniae Herba, sage, Atractylodis Lanceae Rhizoma, thyme, Caryophylli Flos, Juniperus commnis, Capsici Fructus and Eriobotryae Folium. The astringent compound means a compound having protein-coagulating effect and is selected from aluminum salts, tannin and acidic components. In addition, inorganic salts, oily components, surfactants, vitamins, protease and the like are appropriately formulated to give this bath medicine composition in the forms of powder, granule, tablet or solution.
