Title:
BATHING MONITORING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3956484
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to quickly detect an abnormality of a person taking a bath without making the person feel psychological pressure or shame.
SOLUTION: A monitoring sensor consists of an image pickup part, an image processing part and an abnormality judging part. At the time of inputting an original image from the image pickup part, the image processing part extracts only an image of a bathing person and extracts the contour of the image by edge processing. The abnormality judging part extracts a gravity center position G and a lower edge (the lowermost end part of the bathing person's image) PL from the image, and when a vertical distance (level difference) between the gravity center position G and lower edge PL of the bathing person's image is smaller than a judging reference value, judges that the bathing person has fallen down in a bath room.
