To provide a bathroom monitoring device for reducing a wrong detection about bathing person's movement.
This bathroom monitoring device has a movement sensor 3 for detecting the movement of a bathing person according to the state of image change with time and an abnormality detecting means 19 for detecting abnormality and giving a warning when the movement of the bathing person stops for a designated time. The device includes: a variable pattern storage means 13 storing variable patterns which are the state of the image change with time of an object in the bathroom; a variable pattern detecting means 15 for discriminating whether or not the state of image change with time detected by the movement sensor 3 conforms with the variable patterns stored in the variable pattern storage means 13; and a variable pattern removing means 18 for removing the detected variable pattern from the state of image change with time. The abnormality detecting means 19 discriminates whether or not the movement of the bathing person stops according to the state of image change with time from which the variable pattern is removed by a variable pattern removing means 18.
