Abstract:
To provide a washstand excellent in usability capable of preventing virus infection.SOLUTION: A washstand (1) includes: an illumination device (2); a dressing mirror (4); a water discharge device body (6a) disposed below the dressing mirror; a bowl part (10) for receiving water discharged from a water discharge port (6e); an illumination sensor (16) for detecting that a user's fingers have entered a predetermined illumination detection range (S2); a water discharge sensor (6c) for detecting that the user's fingers have entered a predetermined water discharge and stop detection range (S1); and a control part (18) for controlling the illumination device on the basis of a detection signal of the illumination sensor, and switching discharge of water/stop of water from the water discharge port on the basis of a detection signal of the water discharge sensor. The illumination detection range and water discharge and stop detection range are partially overlapped with each other in a lateral view. At least part of the illumination detection range extends in a discharge direction of water from the water discharge port obliquely downward beyond a water discharge apical surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
