Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathtub allowing a bather to have a bath in a lying position with legs placed at positions higher than buttocks and to easily raise an upper body from a state of lying-position bathing.SOLUTION: A bathtub includes: a backrest part inclined at an angle equal to or less than 45° with respect to a horizontal direction; a support part that is provided in front of a bather in a lying-position bathing posture with respect to the backrest part, the bather whose back comes into contact with the backrest part, and formed to project upward for suppressing forward movement of the buttocks of the bather in the lying-position bathing posture; a horizontal part that is provided between the backrest part and the support part, continued from a lower end of the support part and is horizontal in a longitudinal direction; and a placement part that is provided in front of the support part and provided at a position higher than the horizontal part for placing bather's legs. The support part is upward inclined toward the front, and an inclination angle of the support part with respect to a horizontal direction is larger than an inclination angle of the backrest part with respect to the horizontal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
