To provide a baton lift device capable of applying a suitable auxiliary power according to the operation condition of a pull-out baton.
A wire rope 1 with a baton and a counter-weight unit 2 attached at both ends is wound around a traction sheave 11, and the traction sheave 11 and a motor 12 are connected by way of a transmission force variable slip joint (e.g. a powder clutch) 20. While upper and lower ends of the counter-weight unit 2 are connected to a pull-out rope 3, an upper tension sensor 31 and a lower tension sensor 32 are mounted between the counter-weight unit 2 and the pull-out rope 3, so that the transmission of the torque of the transmission force variable slip joint 20 is controlled according to the tension force applied to the pull-out rope 3.
