PURPOSE: To provide a battery case fixing device for a battery car, which enables a battery case to be demounted from a car body surely without moving the car body in the case of demounting it.

CONSTITUTION: When a brake handle 10 is positioned at a brake release position, a lock plate 7 is engaged with a locking pin 3b mounted on a battery case 3, and thereby retained at the lock position for restricting the movement of the case 3. When the handle 10 is changed over to a brake working position from the brake release position, on the other hand, a fork lift is unable to move and the plate 7 is moved to a waiting position. With such a constitution, the demounting of the case 3 from a car body 4 is made possible.
