Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the life of a battery by determining deterioration of the battery accurately, and performing activation early when the battery deteriorated.SOLUTION: Internal resistance of an on-vehicle battery 62 is detected and stored. The increment ΔR of the value Rof battery internal resistance detected latest from the initial value Rof internal resistance detected and stored after installation of the battery 62 is determined, and control for activation of the battery 62 is performed when the increment ΔR goes above a predetermined value ΔR.
