The invention is the battery charging method of the secondary battery equipped on an electric vehicle. The battery charging method includes a first process set for the next operation day of the electric vehicle after the finish of the electric vehicle operation a second process carried out in the order of a preliminary battery charge of the secondary battery equipped on the electric vehicle charged up to a predetermined battery charge depth and a main battery charge of the secondary battery charged up to the predetermined battery charge depth to be charged to the full state between the finish of the electric vehicle operation and the next operation day of the electric vehicle. The predetermined battery charge depth utilized in the preliminary battery charge in the second process is set lower than the battery charge depth of the secondary battery in the full battery charge state. The main battery charge in the second process is carried out so that the secondary battery is charged to the full state according to the arrival of the next operation day of the electric vehicle.
