To provide a battery controller capable of suppressing the degradation in battery performance, even if two batteries connected in parallel have different temperatures.
The battery controller (1) supplies power to vehicular electric equipment (20), and controls charging/discharging to the two batteries (14, 16) charged by a vehicular generator (18) and connected in parallel. The battery controller has a power feeding switching means (4) for switching power feeding to the vehicular electric equipment from each battery; a charging switching means (6) for switching charging in each battery from the vehicular generator; detecting mean (8, 10) for detecting the temperatures of each battery; and a controlling means (2) for switching the power feeding switching means to allow only the battery having a lower temperature to feed power, and switching the charging switching means to allow the battery having a lower temperature to be charged, when batteries have a temperature difference over a specified difference value.
