Title:
BATTERY DETECTION MECHANISM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03103796
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To visually indicate the omission of battery by a simple and inexpensive constitution deflecting a battery holding member outwardly when a battery is present to bring a cover into engagement with a base part in the state engaged with a cover engaging member.

CONSTITUTION: When a battery B is absent, battery holding members 22, 24 are deflected inwardly with respect to cover engaging members 32, 34 to be prevented from the engagement with the members 32,34. Therefore, the base parts 12 integrally formed to the holding members 22, 24 are not engaged with the cover 14 integrally formed to the engaging members 32, 34. By this constitution, the omission of the battery B is indicated. When the battery B is inserted into the battery holding space between the holding members 22, 24, the free ends 22b, 24b of the holding members 22, 24 are deflected outwardly to be engaged with the engaging surfaces 36b, 38b of the engaging members 32, 34 and the cover 14 is engaged with the base parts 12. By this constitution, the presence of the battery B is indicated.
