Module cases 13 have a large number of terminal opening parts, 29, 42, comprised of a inside case body 26 and an outside case body 27, secondary batteries 12 contained within the case 13, a plurality of cell control units 14 and an outer case 11 containing the case 13. Each secondary battery 12 are contained with positive terminals 12a and negative electrodes 12b alternately exposed from the terminal opening parts 29, 42, respectively to constitute a plurality of set of module battery with determined number as one set. The cell control unit 14 has voltage/control of voltage functions for each module battery or each secondary battery and functions for inputting or outputting detection signal or controlling signal. A positive electrode terminal part 18, a negative electrode terminal part 19 and a transmit-receive terminal part 20 are mounted on the outer case 11.
