Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect abnormality of an air temperature sensor by a simple method in a battery device.SOLUTION: A battery device 100 comprises: a battery 10; a cooling fan 11; an air temperature sensor 21 detecting a temperature of cooling air; a battery temperature sensor 22; a current sensor 24; a rotational speed sensor 25; and a controller 30 input with a detection value of the air temperature sensor 21. The controller 30 calculates an estimated average cooling air temperature in a predetermined period based on a temperature difference between a first battery temperature at first time and a second battery temperature at second time after the lapse of the predetermined period from the first time, a calorific value of the battery 10 in the predetermined period, a volume of the cooling air fed to the battery 10 in the predetermined period by the cooling fan 11 and an average battery temperature in the predetermined period, compares the estimated average cooling air temperature with an actual average cooling air temperature in the predetermined period based on the detection value of the air temperature sensor 21, and determines abnormality of the air temperature sensor 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
