Title:
BATTERY DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09247871
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain a battery device sufficiently applicable even in a cold district by constituting it out of a solar cell having a transparent member on the surface part thereof, and by forming in the rear surface part a conservatory space surrounded by both the solar cell and an adiabatic member to store a battery in the conservatory space.

In a battery device, scooping a hole through in the inclined sidewall part of a case 21 to mount in an engagement way a solar cell 1 therein, a conservatory space 20 is formed by constituting the case 21 itself out of an adiabatic member to attach a battery 3 to the upper part of the case 21. Thus, when a sunlight 5 is projected on the solar cell 1, the atmospheric temperature of the conservatory space 20 rises, but, since an openable window 23 is left close up to about 30°C, the battery 30 is warmed to make the charging of the battery 30 itself possible even at an ambient temperature not higher than 0°C. On the other hand, when a solar radiation intensity is large to raise the temperature of the conservatory space 20 to a value not lower than 30°C, the openable window 23 is opened by an opening/closing means 24, and a cooled air is introduced into the case 21 from openings 22 of its bottom part to lower the temperature of the conservatory space 20. When the temperature of the conservatory space 20 is lowered to a value not higher than 30°C, the openable window 23 is closed to hold the temperature of the conservatory space 20 within a suitable scope. As a result, a battery device applicable even to a cold district is obtained.
