To enhance the surface compatibility of an active material and a current collector constituting a battery electrode, and an electrolyte by using an electrode active material layer related to an interface-reforming component in the electrode, composed of the current collector and the electrode active material layer.
A first electrode 112 is a cathode, composed of a current collector 118 and an electrode active material layer 120. The electrode active material layer 120 is composed of a metal component 122, a interface-reforming component 125, and a binder 124. The metal component 122 is formed with, for example, LiCoO2, LiNiO2, and/or LiMnO4. The binder 124 at least partially surrounds the metal component 122. As the interface-reforming component 125, any material for enhancing the surface compatibility of the current collector 118 and the electrode active material layer 120 on an interface 126 can be used without specific limitation, but the use of a hydrosilye compound, a hydrogelmyl compound, or a hydrostanyl compound of an organic compound treated on the electrode active material is preferable. By utilizing this interface reforming material, the surface compatibility is improved.
