To provide a battery holder of which a user can easily replace a battery.

This battery holder 1 stores a flat cell. It is structured with a holder main body 3 having a bottomed cylinder container 7 containing the flat cell 2 in free taking in and out, a plus side terminal 4 as well as a minus side terminal 5 fitted to the holder main body 3, and a push button 6 pivotally supported to the holder main body 3 in free rotation. A pressing piece 13 for pressing an outside face of the flat cell is formed at the tip part of one terminal 4, and is so arranged that the other terminal 5 is to come in touch with the inside face of the flat cell 2. A movable piece 10 having a claw for pressing the outside face of the flat cell 2 is fitted on the side wall 7a of the container 7 in free elastic deformation toward outside of the side wall 7a. The push button 6 is arranged at the side opposing one terminal 4, and a supporting claw 15 for supporting the inner face of the flat cell 2 toward the container 7 side from an axis 14 on one hand, and a pressing part 16 is formed, on the other, at the side contrary to the container 7 from the axis 14.
